How CareerPassport AI handles candidate data

This policy explains, at a product level, what data the app can process and how that data is used to deliver account, resume, job-search, and AI-assisted workflows.

Last updated: March 16, 2026

What we collect

CareerPassport AI can store account details, uploaded resumes, pasted job descriptions, company names, saved searches, generated documents, and the settings you choose inside the product.

How the data is used

Your data is used to run the workflows you trigger: resume tailoring, recruiter insights, referral discovery, offer review, career growth planning, job search, and related exports. We also use authentication and settings data to keep your account secure and the app usable.

External service providers

When you request certain actions, the app sends only the necessary inputs to the external services powering that action, such as AI generation, live job search, company lookup, mapping, or salary benchmarking. Those requests are made to fulfill the feature you asked to use.

Storage and retention

Some data is stored on the server for account features, while some workspace state is stored in your browser for speed and continuity. Data remains available until you change it, delete it, or remove your account where that flow is provided.

Your controls

You can update account details, LinkedIn details, saved application data, and other editable profile fields from the app. You can also delete temporary or saved data in many workflows directly from the interface.

Policy updates

This page reflects the product as implemented today and may change as integrations, storage patterns, or compliance requirements change. Material updates should be reflected here with a revised last-updated date.
